It’s been a fun but cold track season so far! We’ve timed 9 track meets and a small 5k road race so far this season, just 2 more to go. The new FinishLynx equipment has worked great and we’ve been learning how to master the software/hardware with each race. It has been a great investment and essential for what we want to do.
Now, if Mother Nature could just help us out with our last two meets with some nice weather, that would be fantastic. It’s been a pretty miserable (weather-wise) season so far. One meet was rescheduled due to a snow storm, another cancelled due to heavy rains and several others have been run in the rain. All have been cold and windy! I would like to time one of these last meets wearing shorts and a t-shirt!
After each meet, I upload results to Athletic.net. I love going in afterwards to review those results and seeing ‘PR’ and ‘SR’ next to the kids’ times. That brings the focus back to what this is all about – the kids and giving them the opportunity to achieve and succeed!
